2012 Season Schedule/Results
![]() |
2012 Season Review 2012 is a huge year with it being an Olympic year. Athletes all around the world will be training super hard to make the Olympic Games in London this summer and I will be one of them. I have already gotten the qualifying Olympic A Standard that is required to go to the Olympics but I still need to compete at the Olympic Trials in June to make the team. Everyone that wants to compete at the Olympics has to come to Eugene for the Olympic Trials. I have set myself up with the best possible schedule so that I can have a double peak at the Olympic Trials to make the Team and then again at the Olympic Games in hopes to make finals and get a medal. I have a huge opportunity this year to compete at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene Oregon. It will be the first time the Prefontaine Classic has had the men's javelin, so I am excited to compete against the best in the world. My coach and I have decided to train in her home country (Denmark) proceeding the Olympic Trials to get the best preparation for the Olympic Games. There will be no jetlag, and I will be able to focus and concentrate on my training. During this time there will probably be a meet that is yet to be determined. 2012 is not about making money, traveling the world, or being highly ranked in the world, it is solely based around one goal; medaling at the Olympics Games.
